HOW TO STOP NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SERVICE CENTER INSTALL
and, when i install a new OS, i do it clean on a NEW HD, so i do not want sloppy overwrite updates and a massively fragmented disc. also, i have more than one work station so i do not want to have to download 10G+ library files twice and it is easier to just use a flash drive to go from machine to machine and updtae. myself, i rarely use any of the new features of the OS's, though the menu bar one per monitor in OS 10.9 was good so i updated promptly after researching my set up. If it works, many cannot take the time to risk breaking it and have the interruption of their work. Either way NA is miles ahead of Service Center to me. There are new things that might answer some of the issues you're having. I suggest some of you getting into the beta of NA.

Installing your full NI list was a pain in the ass.
HOW TO STOP NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SERVICE CENTER SERIAL
If you did a wipe on a computer you had to go back and find every single serial to every expansion. If you have a decent internet connection, leave it running and it will download all your content and install for you. I also don't get the big deal about saving the install files? If you have multiple computers you can just start native access and redownload again. Either way, I always stay updated on every piece of software I have and never run into compatibility problems. Worst comes to worst, you reboot into time maschine and go to a backup. I went into High Sierra the day of and everything functioned correctly. I've always had backups of my OS to go back on, but I ALWAYS stay updated. Honestly why does it matter? I don't get why some people are so paranoid with their computers. I found about this while reading these instructions, they are meant for when you want to move the libraries but they work for this issue ISOs saved somewhere like in the service center days. Although I really would rather have all the. I have 4 computers, and this worked great for me. but I won't advise that since it can break things depending on the situation. You can copy other things like the database, apps etc. The same principle can be used for the Maschine Library. Open NA, all the huge libraries will show up, just install everything else.Open Konatkt standalone app and click "Add Library", open each of those folders, and Kontakt will add it correctly to the database and they will show up the next time you run NA.

Backup is a must especially before updates. To downgrade to previous versions just have backups. Yes, although NA is very good looking but i too would rather it had more functionality.
